GRADUATION DAY 2019-2020 AT NOTRE DAME SCHOOL, VASAI
As the afternoon of that day began to fade the parents, well- wishers and invitees streamed in on the ground of Notre Dame to witness the grand graduation day ceremony.
The guest of honour was an eminent Jesuit priest Fr. Anthony D'souza.
At the start of the ceremony the students entered in a procession led by the management and staff and took their position on the stage set up for the event. The backdrop was beautifully designed by the art teacher Mrs. Preeti Colaco and team of students. The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp followed by prayers, hymns and speeches.
The chief guest advised the students on building a bigger world for themselves while the Principal, Sr. Shylaja, sent them off with words of wisdom and blessings. A parent representative, Mrs. Vartak thanked the staff and encouraged the students to do their best in life. A student representative, Nathan addressed the gathering with his emotional speech in which he thanked the teaching and non-teaching staff who crossed their path during their 12 years at Notre Dame School.
The teachers showered their blessings through a song. The graduates were given a memento and a lighted candle. With the candles shining bright they brought the ceremony to a close as they sang in unison, a song to keep their candle burning bright followed by the School song.
It was a splendid sight to see the lighted candles glow as all the lights were switched off.
May our graduates soar as they walk out through the portals of Notre Dame.
